Reeljobs Guidelines
These guidelines are here to ensure the consistent quality and standards we hope to achieve across our platform.
Recording Reels
Reeljobs is all about seeing the person in the reel. We want to ensure that our reels and thumbnails are not obstructed with anything that hides or covers the first few seconds of the Reels. Please see below for what to do and what not to do.
Reel Do’s
Maximise your job reel and record your reel in Portrait mode.
When recording ensure you are in focus and in-frame.
While recording, ensure that your audio is clear and not muffled.
Reels must be recorded or exported in .mp4 or .mov file format
Reel Don’ts
To avoid the black bars on your reel, do not record in landscape/ horizontal.
No coloured Transitions or Fade-ins at the start of the reel.
No Logo intros at the start of the reel, as your logo will be shown on your reel details.
No custom static images are to be used at the start of the job reel.
Do not record your job reel without any adequate lighting.
Do not swear or use hateful language in your job reel.
Do not record your reel with deliberate public exposure.
No title covers describing the position of the job reel.
Approvals process
All reels are subject to approvals before being published. The approval process is to ensure that no Reel mentions any harmful matters or is discriminatory to any race or culture, show deliberate public exposure by a person of a portion of their body in a manner contrary to local standards of appropriate behaviour. If a Reel is found harmful, or is reported after being published, it would be removed and the account holder will be contacted.
